In the beginning it wasn't like this. It started out good. SOMEONE (or something?) made all this--not the mess we live in now--but everything before the mess: before the first dirty diaper was ever thrown out of the window of a car as it sped down the highway. Before junkyards and cesspools and water treatment plants. Before jails. Before hospitals. Before cemeteries. Before all the carnage that came with this plague. Cannibalism happens on a spectrum. Some zombies actually try not to eat you. And some survivors do worse things than a zombie would ever dream of. The question is: what am I?

They're not supposed to feel. So why does this one seem... different? Zombies don't just develop feelings... not love, not empathy, not anything. They're mindless, flesh-hungry monsters driven by an unstoppable virus. No mercy, no second thoughts. Just kill or be killed. But somehow, this one isn't like the rest. (Y/N) is a lone survivor in a world overrun by the undead. Every day is a battle to stay alive, to find food, shelter, and some reason to keep going. When she stumbles upon a group of survivors, hope flickers but so does danger. Because something or someone is following her. A stalker. But not a typical one. He's infected. Dead. And yet... he seems to be obsessed with her. Protective. Territorial. Almost like he's in love. How is that even possible? Can a zombie really develop feelings or is something far darker at play? One thing's for sure is this apocalypse is about to get a whole lot bloodier. ⚠️ Warning: Contains graphic violence, blood, adult language, and some strong scenes. Reader discretion is advised.
