The Moments I Recall
He looks out beyond the edge and I can't seem to pull my eyes away from him. He smiles and speaks, but I can't hear anything he says. Even so, the buzzing seems to grow quieter and quieter till it's just silence all around myself and him. I watch his mouth move as inaudible words flow from it into the air, and his hands open as he gestures while he speaks. I watch as he looks turns to look at me to be sure I am following along, and then his eyes just wait on me and his mouth stops moving. I watch him mouth my name and tilt his head to read me. There's nothing I can tell him. Nothing that wont change things, but if I keep this going things will change. "Xylia," He mouths again. ******************************************** Xylia doesn't remember any of it, she lived through it all and yet she can't remember. She must watch herself relive every choice and every mistake she had the first time to find herself again. It is the only way to save him from herself. All she knows is: This is a past life among hundreds of billions. Summer Camp changed everything. Her friends are dying and she doesn't remember how to save them. This is one thing school never could have prepared Siv for, and now she's struggling to survive in this new place with a few others along the way. (Currently being edited slowly.)
