Maya is the daughter of the alpha pair that rules the Glace tribe in the north of Canada. Her life is pretty perfect. She is loved by many of her tribe and maybe a little spoiled as well. With two older brothers, she has never had to worry about leading the pack and has been able to do as she pleased.

However times are changing, with her 18th birthday coming up she will be ready to be mated and is excited to attend the yearly mating ritual that brings all four remaining packs together. The ritual is obligated for each wolf, especially female, that turns 18 as the continuation of their species depend on it.
As she is preparing to leave a major tragedy hits the family and her whole world is upside down. Leaving Maya defeated and depressed. How will she be able to handle such a loss? And what about the mating ritual?

Everything happened so fast in that moment. Shaya clawed on the inside, desperate to be let out, to touch him, to let him hold her. But instead of giving in to her attemps, I froze, blankly staring at the man in front of me. 

'Hello Maya.' He said with a grin on his face as he took a step towards me. 

His movement make me snap out of the trace I seemed to be in and quickly I took a step back, recreating distance between us. 

A growl escaped his lips as I moved away from him. 'Do not move away from me.' He took another step forwards and just as before I took a step back. Making another growl escape him.
