When a planet is created the sun creates a prophecy. But when the planet we know as earth was created, the sun created a prophecy that would change the course of history.
"One day, a species will evolve, a species called mankind. Unlike other life forms elsewhere in the universe, will gift my species each with a magnificent unique power.
When they have reached the climax of their species, I will summon a baby into their existence with the power of a thousand suns, the knowledge of a million galaxies, the anguish of the death of all civilizations, the joy of a billion births, the anger of all sins unavenged, and enough beauty to shine brighter than a star. She shall be, The Raven"
As mankind approached its climax, the sun felt another's presence and was disturbed, as the intruder felt almost as powerful as the sun itself. Then it became clear, their climax will be reaching the moon.
As their machines touched its surface two brilliant things occurred, a baby with hair darker the night sky and eyes greener than the most beautiful emeralds was born, The Raven. The second occurrence was the birth of a force stronger than the sun itself. The moon awoke from its slumber and watched as people received their gifts.
But people used them for evil, casting their world into darkness. Disturbed, the moon removed the gifts, and in return the sun thanked the moon by casting light on it so man would see how beautiful it is. But the moon could not remove the power from their DNA.
As time went on, people forgot, and science advanced. Then in North America, the USA discovered this DNA agent, just sitting there, unactivated. They invented serums that activated it, but only in teens. And started taking teens from their homes to create an army of super soldiers. Seeing this the moon created a prophecy.
"A new Raven will be born, but instead, to end this evil. She will die so humankind can live."
So that is where Jezebel Winters comes in. The Raven is born and darkness is coming.
The whole camp was filling with smoke. I coughed, praying that my lungs would keep working for just a few more minutes. "Eli, which way is west?" Adam's breathing was just as labored from physical exertion, smoke, and panic as mine was.
I didn't even process the question. I didn't know. We couldn't see anything through the smoke because the fire was spreading so quickly, and I just realized I'd forgotten my walkie-talkie. "Don't know!" I answered.
Adrenaline was the only thing that kept my feet going. I knew we'd come in the East Gate, and if the cells were in the center, then if we kept going straight, we were going to find the gate any second. "Keep straight!" I instructed. I saw his head bob slightly, acknowledging my delayed direction.
Then Adam cried out beside me, and I stopped short. I reached for his body involuntarily as he pitched forward, nearly causing him to take me down with him. My left hand was soaking wet from where it had landed on his shoulder. I winced as I tried to steady him, not daring to look at what I knew would be a pool of blood in my hand.
