Brita Harte lost her parents by an animal attack when she was in the eighth grade. Or, at least, that's what all of the normal people of Beacon Hills think. Brita's parents had been Hunters not like the Argent family, though. As far as Brita knows they had only been hunters so they could protect their family. However, there are still many mysteries as to how her parents got dragged into becoming hunters in the first place. After her parents death she was taken in by the Harte's family friends, the Hales'. She couldn't have asked for a better second family than them. On the nights of the full moon she would stay in her room, well aware that Laura, Derek, and Cora don't have full control over their shifting yet. Brita soon realizes that, if she doesn't want to feel weak around a family of werewolves, she must learn all there is about being a hunter. It seems that as Brita grows closer to mastering the 'Hunt' Derek is growing closer to Kate Argent. Brita discovers that the jealous and betrayed feeling she felt whenever she saw the two together was because of her feelings for the werewolf. Not long after she finishes her Senior year of school does her life turn upside down again. Leaving her back were she started. Without a family. The Hale house mysteriously catches fire with most of the Hale family members trapped in the basement. There was one good thing Brita seemed to gain from this catastrophe, though. She had Derek. Derek begins to realize that Brita hasn't been the same for awhile. He doesn't know when it started but he knows it happened. She began talking in her sleep about wanting the bite and that scared him. He wanted her to stay human. He thought that the hunter skill was enough for her to defend herself. She seemed to have other plans for her future though and she wasn't about to let him stop her. After all, she only needs the Alpha to get what she wants. All Rights Reserved
