I flipped the side over to face the therapist and she read aloud. "I don't even know who this person is." "You can't isolate yourself, Wynter. Friends are nice to have around, for encouragement, to laugh with, and sometimes even cry with." She says and I shake my head vigorously. "Wynter, you make yourself think you don't need anyone's help or company, because you are scared. You've been hurt too much, so you put this defensive wall up, that no one can break down." She says and I frown at her. "It's time to let those walls down, honey." She pats my knee and I shake my head again. "And this is the person that's going to help you do it."
