We ran as fast as we could. We heard the sirens behind us but decided to ignore it. I turned to my right but only to see that my sister wasn't there. I panicked. We almost never separate.
"Alyssa!! Where are you!?" I yelled out. I stopped running, and heard the footsteps of the police getting louder as they got closer.
"Over here, Bree!" I looked to my left and saw an alley and watched as the grey sleeve of my twin sister's sweater disappeared into the darkness. I ran in after her. The FBI had arrived by now, determined to catch us and study us as science projects.
It was about 10:43pm. Alyssa and I had gone out for a walk when I had spotted a cat stuck in a tall oak tree. I had been stupid. I used my magic to get the cat down, despite my sister's warning. There had been witnesses. They called the police, and we ran. Our secret must be kept.
But now the government was after us.
And it was all my fault.

After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. Her teeth is wrapped around my neck and she sinks them in. I try to scream but it's hard to. At first it hurts but now the pain no longer exists.
