What does a 17th century Puritan preacher have in common with a thirteen year old girl with an incurable skin disease? They're both going through the storms of life. How are the two connected? Come join the latest adventure as the 'Genesis 64' series continues.

'In This Storm' is a continuation of McCartney White's story, whom we meet in 'Red Oak Fall'. Something reaches out from a dark corner of the school's hallway and touches her - but why? Does this new "storm" shake McCartney's ever-positive faith and spirit? Will we see a darker side of Jonah as he's pressured to help the family?

In the battle between Good and evil - there are Men who stand head & shoulders above the rest of those doing battle. These were mighty Men of ancient lore, heroes of old, Men of renown.
This is their story --- and the story of one of their contemporaries --- a man who stands above all others, and does battle and "fights the good fight" even today.
This is his story and the people he loved and fought for and protected. It is the story of Jonah Fortress and the chronicles of giants.

Chase Jones. The name alone fills her with dread, and Abigail is pretty positive she'll hold this hatred in her heart until the moment she takes her final breath. Not only was he her personal bully for years; he was also the son of her father's military commander, making her seem like easier prey. But things take an unexpected, one-hundred-and-eighty degree turn when she stumbles upon a secret he tried so desperately to keep hidden. She begins to dream of life in foster care through the eyes of a little boy who wants nothing more than to experience unconditional love. To him, it would be like living in a fairytale. The kind of fairytale Abigail has lived in her entire life. After hearing about a family in need, Abigail finds her heart breaking for whoever they might be. Being the helper that she is, she decides to volunteer herself, but soon discovers just who she signed up to help. She knows this won't be easy. What she has yet to fully grasp is that, just as every storm has a starting point, every person has a story, and every story has at least one storm.

-------Winter 2017------ Cover by Ellipticall*** Evelyn Williams just wants to be a lawyer. She doesn't know what "kind" yet - but she will be a lawyer. She has the brains and the grades to do so. The girl made all A's - with the exception of that one B, damn professor Waller for that - The girl is truly talented. She can also juggle between choosing a filter for her Instagram post while drawing conclusions for a scenario presented in her sociology class. She seems to have it all, but this "total package" comes with a heavy toll - more like a sharp tongue. Yeah, she has one of those and wastes no time using it. George Mills, also known as "Flynn" - a nickname given to him in high school because of a terrible prank gone haywire - just wants to be a scientist. He is just no good in science. He also has the competence to make soaring grades while still managing to keep up with Lebron "King James" James, basketball stats. Some say he is talented. Even when he has changed his major "fifty fucking times because I just can't get shit right." He seems to have it all - no, really he is a great kid. With this "total package" comes a heavy toll - more like an endless buffet of annoying verbal comebacks. Yeah, he is one of those and wastes no time letting everyone know. One thing brings them together and one thing tears them apart. The storm that happens in between may not be the hardest to solve, after all, what would be a storm without lightening and thunder? These two are more alike than they may believe and "Storm" will help us find out just how alike they truly are. ------ Welcome to the "Storm" series.

Oliver once dreamed of becoming a marine biologist, drawn to the ocean's secrets and the creatures no one else understood. But at nineteen, he's adrift: dragged down by anxiety and a past that refuses to stay under currents. And when it does quiet, it pulls him under. When the weight of life becomes too much, Oliver retreats inward, regressing into a state he's kept hidden for years. But when his parents discover this, on top of him dropping out of college, they send him to Havenridge, hoping it will 'fix' him and bring back the son they thought they knew. Tobias, a former soldier, lost his purpose the day injury forced him out of service. At Havenridge, he now devotes himself to guiding others who've lost their way, even as his own past continues to haunt him. When he meets Oliver, both are challenged to confront the parts of themselves they've kept hidden. For Oliver, it means facing the regression he's long buried. For Tobias, it means finding healing in becoming someone else's safe place. After all, what better advice is there to follow than your own? // It took Tobias a moment to return Oliver's hug. To let his arms fold around the teenager, like two hooks of an anchor finding the ocean floor. It felt unexpectedly right, how he could cast his anchor into a boy who seemed adrift himself. \\ __To Pacify the Storm is a raw, delicate exploration of trauma, healing, and the spaces where vulnerability and strength intertwine. ⚠️ Ongoing: It's still a work in progress; imperfect and evolving, so it may take a little patience to sink into. I intend to rewrite it once its finished, so stay tuned!
