Elizabeth Louise Cartwright lives an average life in a more than average world. Elizabeth lives with her mother, Annalein and her caretaker, Minerva. She is only 15 when her mother catches the Unknown Plague. The plague thats roaming the whole town or Williamsburg in 1867, two years after the infamous Civil War that killed of millions of the U.S. Population. What is the Unknown Plague? The Unknown Plague is exactly what it's named for. It's Unknown. All that's known is if you catch the plague, you're dead. The worst part is that the Unknown Plague isn't the only cause of deaths in Williamsburg, VA. The citizens in the US have started a new war. Civil War 2. The cause is just as Unknown as the Plague. All that's known is that if you get involved, you're dead.

And that's not the worst thing. Time has stopped in Williamsburg. That means the only thing seperating Elizabeth from the Future is the Present. And she doesnt even live in the Present. Elizabeth is a part of "The Village" aka the Past. the Present is the "Divisor" and the future is the "Futora". What happens when Bess actually crosses the Divisor and reaches Futora?
