When Time Meets Destiny, de kanarywrites

Ryan Clark is a boy born with a destiny, yet knows nothing about it. He is sickly throughout his childhood but finds his suffering and life experiences define his character. Throughout his teens his star begins to rise as all the conflicts he encounters are heroically championed. With everything going for him, one dark night, he encounters Jesus for a brief moment. A destiny he could never imagine and it took him to the top of the world to find it. This is the first book of a series. It's a story of the courage to face the evil of a generation. It's the story of the Second Coming and the Coming Reign of the Antichrist. It's when Time meets Destiny and it's for those who will be there to meet it!

I know you have a lot of reading choices, but if you have space left in your literary adventure cup, please join Jack and Ann as 2021 turns into 2022, happy reading! __ The demon whispers inside Jack's mind. "They are not worthy, they are cattle, these new humans you covet. The so-called creator has betrayed you, replaced you with these organic imitations. Slaughter them all." It's funny, not in a ha-ha funny way, but a sad, my madness doesn't make sense type of way, Jack thinks, because wasn't he human? Worse still, the voice comes with impulses that are hard to resist. Violence usually ensues. That's why he joined the military. A way to channel his urges into mind-numbing physical effort and war. It works for a time. But alcohol and fighting can only carry on for so long. Finally, he realizes, his only way out is suicide. But when he opens his eyes, he's in the In-Between. The creator has other plans for him, and she won't take no for an answer. Apparently, this isn't his first life and if he doesn't free her from her prison, it won't be his last. His curse is to be reborn without end, without rest, without memory. Only madness. Now Jack is on the run from forces he doesn't understand. It's a new world. The mundane replaced by ethereal artificial intelligence, spontaneous virtual realities, and homicidal bible salesmen. But the creator promises the demon's voice will disappear as soon as he finds the right girl, the right bond. After that, they just have to escape the clutches of those who hunt them, find the Isle of Song, and free the creator from her prison. Or maybe this time, in this life, Jack will figure out what true freedom is. Come along on this action-packed thriller as Jack fights to remember who he is, tries to end an eternal war, and atone for sins he doesn't remember...yet.

The prompt I chose: "Heaven and Hell collide once again. The War Demons march to meet the Battle Angels in a struggle for dominance over the Human Realm." I almost chose the prompt which involved taking a cow for a walk, but come on. Battle Angels! Heck yeah. Moo!

Rik couldn't afford college, so he took a janitor job at a virology lab. One night, he cleaned up a broken test tube. Soon, his beard stopped growing. His Cheetos-and-donut paunch disappeared. Suddenly, when he talked, people actually listened. Sure, he could see spirits, too, and a high-ranking devil may or may not be hunting him, but mostly this was great. Then his sister caught the virus. And others. If the virus spread out of control, what would happen? An angel apocalypse? The hordes of hell's minions could not afford to have the human race turn into angels. To stem the spread of the angel virus, they invaded. Suddenly, it was up to Rik and Trixie to save the city, and themselves, and maybe the whole human race. --- Complete. Still polishing. As might be inferred from the title, this story deals in a loose way with Christianity, one of the five major world religions. It is not, however a "Christian story" in the sense of illustrating actual religious experience or practice. I just thought I'd be plain about that here, so readers can decide whether to turn the page or not. This story is an urban fantasy and it is entirely fictional. Content rating: teen. Having faith in something that literally isn't there but is is tiring. Also, the world hates you and you have to fight against the one thing you can't escape, sin. Choosing to fight this battle puts a target on your mind and sometimes body, and it can make or break you. ... Seems useless, right? Will they survive? Or will the Four Horsemen succeed? Content and/or Trigger Warning: The story contains scenes of violence which may be triggering for some readers.

This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!

Capitalist republic, communist republic, fascist state, capitalist monarchy. USA lost WWIII. The country is divided into four nations. The United States, the United Democratic Republics, the United Fascist American States, and the United North American Kingdoms. Four nations, each with their own problems. Two states that a forbidden to enter. Difficult times. A quest for revenge, freedom, and supremacy. Problems arise. Deaths are unavoidable. Happiness is forgotten. Earth is under tyranny with very limited counties with freedom. Lies are the truth. The truth is erased. WWIV is 100% possible. The Earth stops rotating. Light and darkness is stuck on one spot for three months. Electricity is gone for three months. Is it God? Is it aliens? Is the Earth infected? Doesn't matter. The end is near.
