As the story progresses, Jae's mental health deteriorates, and life as he knows it falls apart. The people who ultimately pick up the pieces of Jae's broken self and helps him put them back together turn out to be people Jae never expected to stand up for him. Life turns out to be pretty alright.
But, things are never what they seem. And for Jake, Jae's best friend, life is especially brutal.

I do not condone violence or homophobia of any kind, nor am I intending on romanticizing them. This is a work of fiction, but it also serves to show how important mental health truly is. I am a big believer that the mind requires just as much care as the body, and that everyone deserves to pursue their happiness and be loved and accepted by the right people. I also keep editing, even after I've edited and published. It sucks editing your own stuff because mistakes keep popping up :(
I'm relatively new with story writing, and I'll admit that it kind of sucks starting out, but please read! It's brutal and sad at times, and it will probably trigger some... A lot of... people, but it gets better! Or at least I feel it does.
