Everyone knows the tale of Adam and Eve, but no one remembers Adam's first love, Lilith. Cast out of the garden of Eden along with her children, the grey ones.
Natalie lives in the sixteenth century with the rest of her people who hide deep in the forest away from the sun. But her soul is restless and wants to fit in with the day dwellers, those born of Eve, and that is when she meets Tycel.
The first person to ever show her that her ancestry does not determine who she is.
