Just A Friend
"Do you know how hard it is for me knowing that you're with someone else?" Tyler asked, staring at me intensely. "You think this is easy for me?" I asked, trying to hold back my tears. "I didn't say it was -" he began, but I cut him off. "It's not. I have to go around hating myself. Hating myself for thinking about you. Hating myself for wanting you. I just want to stop feeling this way." I stepped closer to him as my voice shook with every word. "I want to forget about you, but I just--." The rest of my sentence was cut short as Tyler took the final step, closing the gap between us and brought his lips to mine. ~~~~~~~~ Tyler is back from college to find out that the girl who once held his heart has a new boyfriend. They haven't been together for four years now, so why can't he convince himself that he's over her?
