Abrielle Cadwallader hasn't had a happy life. Put in a mental health facility since the age of ten, Abrielle dreams of leaving the facility and escaping to the outside world. Finally, when she is fourteen, Abrielle sees an open window to escape. Taking it, Abrielle takes the opportunity for a new life, changing her name to Briar Woods. Two years later, 'Briar' is sixteen, and life seems like it can't get better. However, all that changes when she gets an unexpected visit from her past...in the form of the new boy at school.
