Abrielle Cadwallader hasn't had a happy life. Put in a mental health facility since the age of ten, Abrielle dreams of leaving the facility and escaping to the outside world. Finally, when she is fourteen, Abrielle sees an open window to escape. Taking it, Abrielle takes the opportunity for a new life, changing her name to Briar Woods.
