"I could recall exactly three things. My name was Anastasia Lore, I held the key to infinite power in the back pocket of my jeans, and I should be dead.I probably am dead. I hope I'm dead, it'd make things a hell of a lot simpler if I am."

Anastasia wakes up in a muddy ditch, with her memory good as wiped. All she knows is that she'll die if she doesn't get the hell out of wherever she is. What could have been a long and enlightening journey full of self-discovery is swiftly interrupted when Anastasia stumbles across her so-called 'rescuer', Damian. But Damian is not all he seems. He is a man with secrets, secrets which just might involve Anastasia's amnesia and imprisonment. Wait, imprisonment? Since when was she imprisoned...? Anastasia begins to wonder if Damian is really here to save her, or if his sudden appearance as 'Mr. Knight-in-shining-armour' has some very dark ulterior motives...
