Alex is a shy girl transferring to another school. She is now a seventh grader. Alex has no friends at this new school, but she is in for a surprise when she meets new people. These people are not the crowd she thought she would hang with. Some people change for the better. Alex had her issues in the past and she is trying to push past them. As Alex is trying to stay out of trouble, she doesn't know who her real friends are. She either is happy with her choices or broken even more. Alex needs to decide which road to take that is best for her.
