Just think about it. Our planet is 4,500,000,000 years old, humans have inhibited it for about 200,000 years, and the earliest known animal fossil is 560 million years old. There are approximately 8.7 million different species on this planet, but experts predict that 0.01 and 0.1 percent of species will become extinct every year. Which means that between 200 and 2,000 extinctions will occur each year. They have been on this planet longer than us. Yet they are dying off faster than us because of pollution, natural disasters, and us. Our oceans, and seas are being polluted by oil spills, forests are being chopped down, and animals all over the world are suffocating because of trash being constricted around their necks, or stuck in their throats, the real question is, how are you going to stop it? Our world is dyeing, 1000 years from now or maybe today the world will end and it will because of the things we should have done. 1000 years from now all of the people, who say I should have, I would have, I could have wont matter because them and everything else will be gone. Studies reveal that the rate of extinction for species in the 20th century have been up to 100 times higher than they would be, have it not been for human impact. In my opinion I believe that were experiencing the worst rate of extinctions since the dinosaurs died off 65 million years ago. Although dinosaurs didn't go extinct because of us, there are a lot of animals that did go extinct or become endangered because of people. Elephants, rhinos, and many others nobody ever thinks about, are some of these animals. All Rights Reserved
