I didn't realize at first that those were going to be his last words... I never stopped to think that I wouldn't get another chance to call his name and have him throw his arms around me. Carla became a school counsellor in the hopes of giving support to young children who are struggling with life but she never really lets herself fall back into her past. Evan became a paramedic so that he could save lives and save people from having to hear how their loved ones died moments before they arrived at the scene.
