No one knows where the Dark Ones came from, or what they are. All that was known is that they were extremely deadly, powerful, and worst of all: they were here.
Alexandra is a 19-year old girl who is considered different. While other girls searched for husbands to take care of them, Alex learned how to take down a knight from yards away with only a single arrow. While other girls started families and cleaned their homes, Alex mastered in weaponry.

How could he expect her to still be that weak little girl that depended on him? No, Emma has changed into somebody he has yet to discover. Two years ago, these two had their biggest fight. Best friends should get over it and move on, right? But what if there was no way they could talk it out, due to an unpleasant misunderstanding? Two years of not hearing shit from each other. Two years of being separated...and that after a bad argument. Both too stubborn to talk about it. But wouldn't it be so easy to finally sit down and talk?
