“Let freedom reign. The sun never set on so glorious a human achievement.” - Nelson Mandela Abigail Greenly and her family live in the small town of Rochester, outside of Boston. Her father, a self-made man of industry, made his small fortune in the lumber business with his brother until a fatal accident left him crippled. She has two older brothers, one off to college to be a doctor and the other has an insatiable taste for chaos. Abby’s life is peaceful, almost monotonous at times, until her oldest brother comes home for a visit, bringing news of the trouble in Boston. Someone dumped three shiploads of tea, and the Crown has had enough. As the colonies begin to split from their ruler, the Greenly’s regularly normal world is turned upside down.
