The world has its scientists, and of course that's how the world figures out how to make medicine and figure out genes and all that. But somewhere in the middle of the Himalayan Mountains, a secret group of scientists hide. Their laboratory is located inside Mount Everest, and they experiment on children. And it isn't normal experimentation as well. These children, taken as orphans in their early childhood, are used to experiment with powers, hybridization, creating monstrosities. One day, a girl arrives at the base, and she is much different that all the other children with no recollection of her life from before. To get her memories back, she has to past tests, and try not to be broken.
Sorry for the lack of an actual cover picture. I plan on drawing on, but I have not gotten the time to yet.

I've been on the run for three years. I'm not the first, but I certainly won't be the last. For as long as I can remember, I had been experimented on, drugged to the brink of insanity, and tortured by someone I thought was my family. Boy, was I wrong. This isn't one of those stories where I suddenly get a huge boost of courage and defeat the bad guys then live happily ever after. I don't believe in that stuff anymore. Instead, I was a coward, and ran for my life, for my freedom, because I was too afraid to stand and fight and risk losing control like the monster they had created me to be. I've been too many people, have moved too many times. Now, I wonder if I will finally be able to find a place to call home... I won't allow myself to be captured before I even have a chance at that. We were just kids. Not experiments. Hundreds of kids were kidnapped at a young age and taken to a place called the Compound. Here they are put through ruthless tests in order to get one thing; mutants. When that breakthrough is finally achieved on A-36971 and a group of unknown people show up the next day, she takes the chance at asking for help using her new 'powers.' But getting this help came at a great cost. Once they're out and free, they realize the head scientist isn't letting them get away that easily. Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.Complete
