All is quiet. Crickets were chirping and a small breeze was blowing. Not a car in sight, the lampposts were flickering and a light rain was pattering on the concrete. The clouds in the sky were very still, the light of the lamppost flickered twice and the trees began to rustle the night suddenly light up. The light that came blinded my eyes. A loud boom came out of nowhere it carried on until my ears hurt. It finally stopped. My throat was dry with thirst and horror. The night leaves me alone in darkness.
