This is it, the moment hundreds of films and thousands of games have predicted-the zombie apocalypse. Only six people are left alive and most of them wish someone else was in their place. Meet Zoe. After a lifetime of fearing germs, she’s now surrounded by the possibility of infection everywhere. That’s not even getting into the fact that the girl who tortured her for five years is now trapped with her. Hannah might be a total bitch but she’s a survivor and she’ll do whatever it takes to keep herself alive. Zoe’s brother Tim wants to protect her but he’s dealing with his own problems. All his life he’s cared for his sister but now the danger is real and there’s nowhere to hide. Darren has no intention of hiding anywhere. An avid video game fan, he’s been dreaming of the zombie apocalypse since he was 10. Perhaps Miss. Avery can control him, but then again perhaps not. She’s a first-time teacher who is well out of her depth and finding it hard to cope with being the only adult left. That leaves Max, a serious senior who seems to be keeping some secrets of his own. Six survivors, one safe haven. They can keep the zombies out. But what about each other?

If Winter Harper thought life at her new boarding school was going to be easy, she was dead wrong. Everyone at ZBS-Academy has the same mysterious virus---one that's slowly turning everyone into terrifying flesh eating monsters, also known as zombies. The teachers are lifeless, and the food stinks. Literally. And worst of all, the clique of popular mean girls who rule the school have already decided that she's dead to them. All Winter wants is to go back to her old school, and be with her old friends. But until a cure is found, Winter is stuck at ZBS-Academy forever ... How will she survive? - - - - - - - - - - As if he knew what I was thinking, Jesse leaned over and whispered, "Transformation happens very, very slowly." He said. "It takes centuries to become a full zombie." I guess that was supposed to make me feel better, but it didn't. "Centuries?" I gasped. "You're immortal now," he told me. "Didn't anyone tell you that?" I thought back to the things that I knew about zombies. I didn't recall Danny saying that I'd live forever. It wasn't on the websites I looked at either. Would I be fifteen years old from now on? With no real friends at my new school? That didn't sound so good ..
