Rip or Riptide has never known anything but painful injections, tests, and surgeries. She grew up in a place where people always smelled of blood and chemicals. She grew up in a place where no one loved her except her "pack" , which she is determined to keep alive. Rip and her pack grew up caged and chained to walls where they could do nothing as the coats ( lab men/women) performed torture in anyway possible, from nightmare serums to starving them to ( almost) death. Yet while the pack has been through a lot they still have fire in their souls and are willing to fight back with anything from smart arse remarks to physical combat. Though this pack seems tortured for no reason, that is true, yet untrue for there is something very special about them . Let's just say their enhanced but non the less amazing..... DISCLAMER: And before you ask NO I didn't intend this book to be Maximum Ride related, but I often read a few chapters for inspiration. The picture is from safari under the title of (wolf face).
