I felt the sweat trickling down my face, my breath was barely there. Lance was far ahead, his endurance surprised me, what motivated him to run so painstakingly fast every time? What... Motivated me? The snow fell from the heavens, a remnant from two years ago. When I passed the old willow tree, I remembered Grace again, like I remembered her yesterday and the day before that, and the day before that one. She was the only reason I had for putting up with that hag's ridiculous routine. I gathered my strength and trained my eyes on the horizon, picking up my speed after finding my stamina, I sprinted to Lance, just like I had done everyday. Without any words passing between us, we both ran our hardest toward the same goal.

- Here is Marie Eloise Ashwinter, at just twelve years of age she's catapulted into a world of magic and mayhem after the supposed death of her dearest friend Grace. Along with her companions, unique in both ability and personality, they will set out on a journey riddled with danger. From a lecherous warlock flanked with an army of maids, to the foreboding keep of the Winter Witch that sits at the heart of the Northern Mountains. Learning in love, mistakes and friendship, Marie fast approaches the threshold of adulthood as a fistful of obstacles lie in wait. With the loss of her parents plaguing her past, the absence of Grace consuming her at present, and a world of adventure awaiting her future, she will blossom into a woman who shall inspire a generation.

Most impressive rank: 1 - Fairytale *** Casey is all alone in the werewolf world, the only family she has left is her crazy dad. her mum died of cancer, causing her dad to go crazy and start beating Casey. What's worse is that she can't get away from the violence because when she goes to school they do the same. *** I close my eyes so I could listen and smell everything in case this was the last time I would ever be in this beautiful forest. I chase away any bad or worried thoughts because this place seemed so sacred it did not allow them. I breath in and catch the sweet scent of lavender flowers that speckled the ground in little clumps and the dry smell of dirt that hadn't been rained on in a couple of day. I listen to the steady titters of birds as they fly from tree to tree, collecting little twigs and leaves to build their nests with. I listen to the buzz of the bees greedily feasting on the flowers that scattered around the dry forest floor. I open my eyes to take in the scenery, rays of sunlight filter through the green canopy, penetrating through the leaves and casting a green-yellow effulgence over the ground that wavers as the trees rustle in the light whispers of wind. The crunching of dry leaves under my feet alert me so I cast my eyes to the floor and watch as I step on each individual leaf and dry twig, enjoying the snapping sounds that echo through the near silent forest. Gnarly roots dip into ground and twisted branches reach down, fingers grasping the air, as if reaching for me and I shiver, thinking of my father. I cast my eyes up to think of something else and instantly calm as another puff of breeze rustles the leaves on the trees and ground gently. I look ahead and notice the steady thinning of the old trees and run towards it, loving the feeling of the air in my air and clothes. I spot what I think is light dancing on waters surface and sprint for it. Then I break through the trees, making it to the lake.

CAUTION CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT. "Say it, Allison," he said, his voice low as he trapped me against the rough wall. A shiver ran down my spine, his voice pulling at me, the power in it making me want to do anything he asked. I shook my head, afraid my voice might betray me. His teeth lightly grazed my neck causing a sigh to get past my lips. I could feel him smile against my skin. He knew he was going to get what he wanted one way or another. I tried to slip away, but he grabbed my wrists, pinning them down tightly. He pressed his hard body against me. I was aware of every inch of him that was touching me. "Don't think you can just leave. We're not done yet." My stomach tightened at his words, the desire inside burning for him. My damn body at war with my mind yet again. He slid his hand up to the edge of my shorts, slowly working it's way up as his mouth trailed small nips from my neck to my collar bone and lower, stopping only when he reached the fabric. I could feel my resolve weakening as his hand reached its destination. "Say it," he demanded. I moaned, my head tipping back as he moved expertly. I wanted to say it then, I really did. But if I said the words, there was no going back. ***************** Allison Cole has just turned seventeen. Most girls would be excited, but she doesn't see it as anything special.
