She's always prepared for the unstoppable goodbye and he's always waiting for the inevitable end.
She's just waiting for a point to the mess they call life and he's just preparing for the relief they name death.
They're two lost and tortured souls, wandering endlessly, trying to figure out the point of why they're there.
They're trapped in their heads and in a pitiful society run by money and status but when they run into each other...
Are they each others escape?
They're hooked on the idea that they could be each others happy ending but God, there's that nagging thought, the one that whispers in their ear.
Telling them that maybe nothing happens for a reason, maybe we're all just lost souls waiting for the day where everything works out, that maybe we've all fooled ourselves on the thought that everything will be okay when maybe, just maybe, it won't.
Because the moral of this story is that no matter how hard we may try and how much we may want it..
Maybe there just is no happy ending

*TW: depression, death, suicide Death is never the best option. Things do get better, I promise. If you are considering such things, please seek help. You are loved and needed; there are always other options. ******** As if witnessing his best friend's kidnapping wasn't enough, James has to battle the grief and depression that follows it. Stella was his rock and one of the most important people to him. Without her, he watches his world crumble before his eyes. He's done everything he can to get her back, but with his depression growing ever heavier, he begins to feel that she is gone for ever. Will James ever see Stella again, or has he lost her for good? ******** I originally wrote this short story as a single piece, but I broke it up into chapters as best I could. This story means a lot to me, so I really hope you like it. :)
