This story is about a twenty-one year old girl who made a deal with Death to save her brother's life. He was the only blood family she had left and he had cancer. One that could only be fixed with a family donor with the same blood type. But Cleo had their mother's blood type, not their father's. Her parents died three years ago and she made her brother's guardian. She strangled to provide for them both and because of that her brother was dying in a hospital bed when Death appeared. What happens next? Does Cleo make the deal? Or will she risk losing the only blood family she has left?

Lily, a five year old child loses her parents in a horrible accident. Afterwords she is forced to live with her Grandmother who works all the time and has no time for a child. Lily, not knowing what really happened to her parents, and not understanding at all, she decides to take things into her own hands. At first she killed animals because she thought her parents were lonely where ever they were. After trying to kill her own Grandmother she was sent to The House, an insane asylum for kids. There she met seven other kids with situations similar to her own. Will Lily get better and go live with her family again or will she remain in a sense of denial enough that her sanity is in jeopardy? This story is told from Lily's point of view but it actually told by another girl with her little comments every now and again.
