A best friend is someone you value more than any other friend in your life, someone you enjoy spending time with, someone you trust, and in whom you can confide. Do not tell me everything was a lie? I have loved him as my best friend for three fucking years! Is this some kind of joke for him? Did he not feel anything when he said I was at fault? Like, WOW! He deeply hurt me, and despite everything I have done for him and his safety, does not he feel guilty about making me miserable every day? Why did he suddenly undergo such drastic changes? Is this all due to me? Did I not give him enough love as the best friend he needed? Or did his love for his girlfriend influence his feelings for his best friend? Dread is a common feeling she always feels, she wants more, a better life but she doesn't have much to get there. Going to an high end school doesn't make matters any better when she has to constantly be reminded that it isn't her lifestyle, and those like Silas Remington will make this one hell of a school year.

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?"
