Then it hit me. The scent of my mate. The one I'd love and spend the rest of my days with. "Mine," he growled. I was forced up against the wall as he began to kiss me roughly. I managed to take a peek at my mate. The school's very own player. Otherwise known as the guy who infuriates me to the depths of hell. I shoved him off me and made him look me in the eye, "I don't care if you're going to be Alpha. You will always be the jerk I hate and the player I despise. I stumble over my thoughts but manage to squeak out "I thought you were out on a mission for your Alpha?" "I finished, and now I'm back." His eyes boring a hole through my head. "And I can tell that you've been slutting it up" he says with a look that makes me tremble. I start to shake my head, to try and persuade him that I haven't been doing anything wrong, but he forcefully grabs my jaw and stops me from shaking it. "You really shouldn't lie to me Adelaide, now I'm just going to have to teach you a lesson" he spits out at me. *** This isn't you typical story about werewolves, but I love the idea of mates, so follow these young adults on their journey with a supernatural twist.Complete

When I turn the corner I see a boy about 20 and am hit with an overpowering smell something like fresh cut wood and autumn leaves. It is amazing. I see the guy turn towards me and duck behind the house I am standing by before he sees me. Nope! Not him! Not happening! I hear footsteps coming towards me and run. Into the woods I find a pine tree. Perfect! Pine trees are great hiding places. The branches hide you visually and the smell masks your scent. I climb up as quickly as I can and watch the guy approaching. He circles my tree looking around but eventually gives up and goes back towards the houses. "Mate!" My wolf happily purs. "Not him!" I respond. "Denial." She says. "Refusal." I counter and she growls at me. "You will NOT reject him!" She orders. "He is a bully!" "He is mate!" "He commanded that kid when he could have just talked to him! He is a bully with no patience!" "He is an Alpha!" She purrs with pride at his rank. I don't care! "I don't want him!" She was able to escape, but on their way to a new start, she was bound to meet with...complications in form of Lily's mate, the Beta of the Nightfall pack, who didn't seem pleased to see his mate. It takes more than a measly rejection for Lily to give up on a person she has waited far too long for. (A story where you will hate characters, love others, mourn over the fourth wall, laugh your ass off, and HOPEFULLY cry a little...who doesn't like some feels?) ▪▪▪▪▪ I can just say that it might be confusing at first but it has its reasons, once you read further I believe almost all of it will make sense.
