Sacramento, California, 1861. The West, especially California, is still reeling from the Gold Rush. Rosalie Stahl spends her days helping her family maintain their boarding house, whilst awaiting her fiancé's return from a business trip. Things are monotonous, the same, until they are not. Rosalie's life is forever changed when a band of unassuming men descend upon Sacramento in a flurry of gunpowder, treachery, and whispered Spanish words. Rosalie Stahl must discover her identity and desires amongst confusion and peril, danger and disaster.

The Four

There used to be a time where the world feared Locatlie. This time was merely decades ago. They thought that the Locatlie family was untouchable, they couldn't come near anyone anymore after the War of hearts. But the people that lived through the War of Hearts got soft, they either died or forgot it happened in the first place. Their children got children and those children forgot whom they were dealing with. Nobody thought that anybody could compete with Queen Julia. The queen whom brought down nations. Until I came along. You think Julia had it rough? Pfft. Her life was a fucking cake walk compared to mine- but lets not get ahead of the story. Julia might be the queen that brought down the nations, but I was the one that made them beg for mercy while burned them all to the ground. Important information: You can read this story without reading the Locatlie series, but it will spoil the Locatlie series for you. If you like books that close off chapters and you like reading long stories, read the Locatlie series first. :) Warning: This story contains physical abuse, mental abuse and sexual abuse.
