Mako's Secret

My whole life I dedicated to discovering the secrets of the ocean, but when one day I encounter a merman I think I might be losing my mind. Except it's real and he's asking me out. Spilling all his secrets. Sating my curiosity and stirring my lust. My own private nerdy professor turned merman, he ticks all my boxes. What do I do when my merman is in danger of discovery from my colleagues? Do I turn my back on them and help him? Do I sink or swim? Do I fall in love? This is a short prequel story for my other story Hook, Line & Sinking. This story can be read stand alone and you don't need to read this story to understand Hook, it's simply a bonus. ;-)

Things have changed since the recent Full Moon. On top of Zac discovering he is a real merman, and the mermaids being banished from their pod, Manoa discovers an ancient curse that seems to be connected to her. The mermaids are also trying to figure out the mysterious Merman Chamber and it's purpose, but they know one thing: it cannot be fully activated if the pod is to return. When one of the mermen is determined to uncover the Chamber's secrets, Manoa and the other mermaids will have to do whatever it takes to keep their home safe. "They don't call it Mako Island for nothing. It's surrounded by sharks. It's a shark breeding ground." Alex said. "Exactly." Eliza said. "Well right now, that's the only place that's safe for us." I said. Just then, something bumped the side of boat, causing it to rock. We looked around. "What the hell was that?" Alex asked. Then another bump happened. This time the boat rocked hard. "Okay now I think we should go to Mako Island." Alex said. Then another bump happened and it sent us flying into the water. We all screamed. I opened my eyes and looked around in the water. I immediately saw a huge shark. I screamed. I surfaced and looked around at the girls. "Guys there's a shark!!" I cried. "I knew it!!" Eliza said. "Look there it is!!" Alex cried. I turned around to see the shark's fin. It turned and swam towards us. We all let out a blood curdling scream.

This is a fan-fic about one of my favorite shows. When I got the idea, I was at first a little nervous to write it, I might have also been a little embarrassed. But know I'm writing it! I hope you guys enjoy this book. Its for all you mermaid lovers!
