Alice Faye has always lived in peace and harmony in the great Capitol, unaware of the darkness of the world that has always been around her. But when her 15th birthday arrives on the same day of the 74th Hunger Games a little light flickers on inside her after seeing the new district twelve tribute's legendary pin, and she soon learns to see everything differently. A long strange year passes by, and her birthday is being celebrated by watching the 75th annual quarter quell. But her whole world stops when her district twelve idol is once again sent to her death, and the only thing Alice thought to do was run. Lost in her thoughts, Alice unexpectedly runs into the abandoned side of town. But instead of shivering with fear like the rest of her family would, she feels safe, and at home. Going with her gut, she heads deeper into the dark alley ways, and stumbles upon a black, sealed door with the mocking jay symbol painted over the top. And little did she know that this door would lead her to a new world that would changer her once perfect life forever.

The day snow fell upon Victor's Village, everything changed. There was no excitement, no joy, only the cold stare of scrutinising eyes into a child's wounded soul. She was not the girl on fire. She could not set a nation ablaze. Calypso Silva only wanted to survive. But she, with her Capitol blood tainted by the districts, was the legacy so many had fought for. She would be the legacy that so many would die for. She was the rebirth of love, the death of hate. The death of him. - finnick odair x oc following the events of the 72nd hunger games (origins), catching fire, mockingjay pt.1, mockingjay pt.2.
