I guess I have it pretty bad off- living as a greaser means that there's a lot that can go wrong.  I live with my two brothers.  They are very important to me.  Ya see, my parents died in an auto-wreck.  It left me and my little brother, Ponyboy, in custody of my older brother, Darry.  All we got left is each other and the gang.  About a year ago, Johnny Cade and Dallas Winston died.  They were important to the gang, my brothers, and I.  Sometimes I wonder what would've happened if Darry didn't hit Pony.  
   Maybe we go through more stuff than the socs, the rich kids with all the money and fancy parties and stuff that us greasers can just dream about, because we gotta be as strong as we are.All Rights Reserved

[CURRENTLY BEING EDITED. I just finished chapter 6, so after that Winnie becomes Allison and instead of being Soda's twin she's like 11 months younger than him. Gangs take over the east side of Tulsa. You won't catch a greaser without some sort of identification on them. Tattoos, jackets, scars, or jewlery. Tulsa gets bloody and rumbles happen often, so living without a gang would be living in terror. And living in terror isn't really living. Elle Bovino is a 16 year old Italian greaser living on the east side of Tulsa with her older brother Peter, and her mom. Her father went to prison, but prior to his arrest, he was abusive to the two kids. Peter then swore to never let anyone touch Elle ever again. Peter was the leader of the gang the Coyotes, thanks to Elle, but she still didn't belong to any gang. Not even her boyfriend's gang, the White Blades. Among the many gangs in Tulsa, the biggest one happens to be an Italian force. Their name is the Key Men, despite both men and women being in the gang. It is dangerous for Elle to not be in the Key Men because she does speak fluent Italian, and her brother may or may not be able to protect her forever like he promised. The Key Men want Elle Bovino because she has power and could influence the other girls. But many gangs want her for the same reason. Who knows, her life could domino effect downhill due to the one guy who promised her protection. Hell, she might not even marry the man she thought. I walk into the house, drunk, banged up, and late for curfew. It was a month after my parents died, I was fourteen and just came back from a wild party. "Basil Leaf Curtis, where have you been?" Darry screamed through out the house. "Dar, I was just having fun," I slurred, laughing a little at the end then going to walk in and falling on my ass. "Basil, were you at another party?" He screamed looking into my glazed eyes. "No, and if I was I ain't stupid enough to tell you," I laughed. "You know what if you're going to act like this then you can just do us all a favor and get our, we'll be better off without you!" He screamed showing me the door. I ran upstairs grabbing my stuff, I looked at Sodapop and Ponyboy kissing both of their heads, I walked out of the room slightly crying. Then I stormed downstairs, when Darry kicked me out I sobered up fast. I looked at him dead in the eyes yelling, "I HATE YOU DARREL CURTIS! I FUCKING HATE YOU!" As I yelled that I saw something in his eyes, I've never seen before, it looked like guilt, he opened up his mouth but, I ran out of the house and never looked back.
