Myla is not like a ordinary person like you and me, in fact she is a deer hybrid who's mother is a human and father is a deer hybrid. In the story she starts off being born as a full on deer in the morning , but after the sun sets she turns into a hybrid. When Myla grows older she is able to control her powers of transforming into a deer or a hybrid. Myla lives in a underground home with her family, she can go anywhere as she pleases except for the forbidden forest of the lost, as her mother states.
