When Crystal is walking through a unknown territory for she is a werewolf she is captured by the Alphas beta,Aric. Aric tells her she will meet the master In 3 months at a ball there they will determine if she can live,but she never expected in those 3 months to learn of a love a mate and also of being nearer to the moon goddess than any one else. Maybe Crystal isn't quite as clear as everyone thought.
