The Way We Used to Be
I lost my mom at 11, that's when it started. My dad became a drunk and I was left to take care of my 3-month-old baby sister. Now I'm 23, graduated a few years ago and my sister, now 12, can understand what happened. She never fully understood when I needed someone to and I didn't have many friends that stuck around afterwards. Until I met him. We were friends first, then the feelings got deeper. I Fell in Love with a Bad Boy

I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. My Hybrid Troubles
*This is Purely fantasy* I'm Rose. I am 50% witch, about 25% vampire and about 25% she-wolf (Werewolf). My father IS half warlock and half vampire. My mother WAS half witch and half she-wolf (werewolf). I had two older siblings but they passed away on their sixteenth birthdays. One of them was my brother, I never really knew him, I was in our mother's womb at the time. He died after he shifted his first time because he was never told about his genes and what they meant (he died from shock). The other one was my sister, I kind of got to know her, but when she passed I was only 6. She also died after her first shift, but not because she was clueless. She had been told TOO much about her genes and what they meant. When she shifted, she tried to stop it because she was scared of her wolf. After my sister passed so did my mother, she was severely depressed and couldn't take the thought of me leaving her too early. Before she died, she told my father everything about herself and her werewolf roots. She only survived until my dad knew everything, it seemed like that was all that mattered, like she knew she was going to die. I have been taught the ways of my ancestors, werewolf, vampire and witch, slowly so I can absorb it all properly. ------------------------- This story is about me, a young girl, with a lot of issues. I always am treated like trash by my rude human stepmother. Around my father, she's completely innocent but when he isn't, hell just about breaks loose. When I turn sixteen I will leave my father and house to move in with either the vampire lord or the werewolf's alpha. What happens when I have two possible mates? In a dystopian world, where the strongest prevails, having peace is a luxury. Especially when someone from the past is out to destroy everything we have built up over the past 15 years. And with Christmas approaching, our group get to face ten hellish days. Preview: In his fury, the chains have rubbed his wrists and neck raw, despite me trying to calm him down. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language.
