F*** Cancer, This One Did Us All In.
There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family. Packed full of zombies, by the way, not crocks. (Although I don't know which situation is worse.) Now I have to not only keep my feeble body alive, but also protect (or be protected by) my two best friends in the entire world as we all try to survive in a city packed with the Dead.Complete
The Apocalypse
The ice deep in the north has melted to reveal a new world hidden under the ice. It holds vegetation and animals that seem unworldly when compared to ours, but hidden in the deepest part of this world is another cave with the oldest surviving strains of an ancient bacteria capable of taking host of dead creatures and reanimating them into beasts worse than before. This strain had grown weak over the ages and was nearly extinct, but the human immune system, never being exposed to this, caused the strain to thrive inside its new unexpecting host and spreads out to the world. It starts small, just a speck on the hands of a few people, but soon, it spreads to door handles, pens, books, chairs, things like that. It continues spreading and now has infected its first corpse, the remains of an ant. This new creature comes and spreads to that ant's nest and then to the animals that eat them. Before less than a month passed, the virus had spread to a graveyard in the hidden grottos of the Yukon. This virus, now able to think from the new minds of fresh bodies, can strategize. In only another week, the epidemic had spread to the northern edge of the United States. Spreading further and further in, people began to notice this strange happening. From people disappearing to entire towns popping out of existence, the bacteria continued to spread. To keep order, the governments had those who disappeared erased from existence, but it wasn't enough. The takeover of those long gone happened in less than three weeks and society collapsed. Spreading overseas, it began its removal of life in Europe, but that's a story for another day. We now come to those few remaining settlements in the collapsed U.S, now called The Crumbled Land. "City X: The Society Where Everything Is Just Perfect!" Yeah, right. I see that slogan everywhere, no matter where I look. It's all a lie, an illusion. Everyone believes that it's perfect, but they don't know the workings of the inside. I was told by someone I met years ago what really goes on inside the government building, and since have been moved to the poorest part of the "perfect" city. With every passing day, I feel my reality slipping away, fading into darkness and despair, no hope in me ever being normal ever again. I remember the day this all started like it was yesterday. Stray Humans
It's been almost a hundred years since Earth's civilizations fell, leaving only ruins and memories. Long before the collapse, they began taking humans, but now, everyone knows who they are and they fear them. The few who manage to return from their captivity tell stories of how these creatures treat humans like animals or children, tending to them like pets or slaves. Most survivors live in hidden cities, avoiding the ancient ruined cities at all costs. But not Jace and his crew. As a group of Stray Humans, they've made the decaying cities their home, roaming the forgotten streets, never staying in one place for long, and bringing all their skills to the table. They are a family, working together to make sure those things, Aliens, never take another human as long as they are near. When the aliens of A.C.R. (Animal Care and Rescue) find a new group of humans wandering the ruins of a large city, they think it will be an easy capture. But they soon learn that these particular humans have more willpower than most. They dodge every trap, disappear around every bend, and even manage to take some of the already captured humans with them. The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets. No matter the cost. Everything is normal, crime is still a thing but instead of gangs running the show on the streets...Well, It's Mafia's who run these streets. Cops are bribed, territories are made, allies are strong, traitors are within- All Of It. Some Mafia's are just full on psychopaths who want to rule the whole entire city but get too reckless and end up wiping themselves out. Other Mafia's are wiped out from the inside and out. Some are untouched by anyone due to their power or how much control of territory they have. Well, My little mafia has a long way to go before we get wiped out due to our status not being so high in the ranks. I'm Y/N and My Mafia is called The Blackout Mafia and you'll find out why soon. Our world though exposes Love through Eyes. It's called, Lovers Eye or Love At First Sight. Scientist have researched for years why human eyes just form red beating hearts through their eyes but some people just say it's their "Soul Mates". Cringe... Uprising
Year 2456 Humans have become so technologically advanced that they are able to manipulate genetics to make humans do amazing and powerful things. Diseases such as AIDs and Cancer are as easily curable as the common cold. But before this flourishment there was....bloodshed. In the year 2252, The United states waged war against other nations, this war raged from 2252 to 2400. Killing billions and destroying the once great United States. The once great country was split into five colonies Montag, Crishun, Pyrin, Sendrill and Kami. Once these colonies formed they had no way of enforcing laws. Well they didn't until a 20-year-old man named Robert Cross came into the colonies, in year 2430, with his latest creation. He was able to create a synthetic human that didn't have the human weaknesses. Sickness, lust, Greed, and death was of no importance to them. After Cross revealed his creation crime rate fell almost all the way to zero. For many years this seemed like the best things ever created by man. Robert Cross was seen as a man who saved these colonies from themselves. He was awarded a Nobel peace prize for his contributions to mankind. After a while Robert became greedy, he didn't want accolades, he wanted power. When the colonies failed to give him so, he seized control instead. He programmed his once amazing creations to attack anyone who got in his way. When he seized control of Kami he created a government he called "The Axis Prime". Cross, with the help of his synthiziods, controls Kami, Montag and Sendrill, his hunger isn't satisfied till he has it all. Many of these colonies people were slaughtered for trying to rebel against Cross. Around the year 2441, he tried to capture the colony Pyrin. Cross felt something odd when the Commander of his synthizoid brigade did not return. He found out of a group trying to liberate the colonies he controlled. The name of the group is Salva and this is their story.Complete
