Hi, I'm Lauren Rayne. I'm a senior at Blue Heights High with my boyfriend, Chad. He's a sexy soccer player with hazel eyes. Dreamy right? Everyone thinks we're soulmates, especially my best friend Jem. But you see, my life isn't as pitch perfect as everyone thinks it is. I grew up in an unstable home, my father's a drunk and my mom, well she's married to a drunk. My life is about to change in a very drastic way and I'm gonna be torn away from the very thing that makes my heart beat, Chad. In the midst of chaos, I make some promises in an attempt to keep our love alive . But as time goes on, I struggle to remain true to the oaths I took. And I wonder, is a ring enough to keep me from letting him down? From loving someone else? At the end of the day is my sanity really worth it?

I was in love with my best friend. But sadly, he didn't feel the same way. I thought my world was over. I was crushed. But to my utmost yet most delighted surprise, I just happened to fall into the arms of a certain bad boy. Literally. He didn't just save me from what could've been a hell of a concussion that night. He saved my heart too. But hey, let's not get in over our heads now. It wasn't that easy. Not even close. After all, when two opposing worlds clash for the very first time, we can't just expect it to be all rainbows and sunshine. Now, do we?
