"Can I ask you something Mammi" says the curly-haired boy who's name I still didn't know,but had decided on calling 'Pappi'

"Sure, ask away" I reply

"What are you afraid of ?"

"I don't know what you mean"I reply

"Is it your future or is it your past ?"

I couldn't stand the questions, I just wasn't ready to let go,I wasn't ready to let anyone in.....at least not yet
I got up and ran away,ran so fast that I tripped.
Everything became blury, but the last thing I heard was

"I'll always have your back Mammi,I'm Pappi for a reason"

I could see the genuine smile on his face,and that's when everything went blank.
