"Stay away from me, Mila. I'm dangerous for you." His back is turned to me as he faces the window and whispers the words that make shivers run over my skin.
"You can't scare me away, Kaiden. Not again. You're not dangerous for me." I reach out and turn his body towards mine and he takes a sharp intake of breath as my hand runs up his arm and shoulder before resting on his cheek. My fingers caress the smooth skin and he eventually relaxes and leans into my hold. I stand on my tip-toes so we're eye-to-eye and his eyes widen. "The only person you're dangerous for is yourself." I tap his head meaningfully as his eyes darken and he winds an arm around my waist to pull me closer.
My hand naturally falls to his chest and the hand on his cheek holds the back of his neck. He runs a finger over the line of my jaw daintily before it reaches my lips. My breathing quickens as I wait in anticipation and he leans in even closer, his minty breath fanning across my face and his proximity awakening every pore of my body. Just as I brush my lips over his, he abruptly pushes me away, causing me to stumble back in confusion. I look up just in time to catch the anger that flashes across his emerald eyes and he runs a hand through his hair desperately.
"You know what? You're right. I'm not dangerous for you." He backs me up against the wall and his arms rest on either side of my head, caging me in. "You're dangerous for me."

I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?"
