Beyond Lifeless Eyes is a tale about many things, but above all it is a tale about lines.

The lines between realities, between right and wrong, between the individual and the group. But most of all it is about the lines people set down for themselves.

In this issue, we are introduced to the near incomprehensible Geoffrey Hughes where we go gallivanting across time and space to make a few house calls. On the way our hero will encounter irritable clerks, an ancient battleground and, horror beyond horror, truly ghastly wallpaper.

With enough foreshadowing to blot out the sun, the early issues may be a bit detached to begin with, but everything will start to come together after a while. So strap in folks and get ready for a wild wide, because we only have one gear and we've lost the steering wheel.

I looked at him in shock, "How do you know that?" "I know a lot of things about you, Ms. Prior, even things you don't know yourself." Excuse me? "From what you can do," he paused giving me a look before directing his gaze back at the field. "To your eye color. Your parents have blue ones, so I don't see how that works." What? He continued without question, "You are still a mystery to us, as you have never showed any signs of power before, so it's sort of confusing." He paused for a few seconds them said, "You're different; you have an ability. You're a Supernatural." "Ok, I really need to go so..." I began walking back, but he stuck out his arm to block me. And that's when it happened. Flames rose on his arms, lighting them on fire. I backed up, feeling the heat radiate off his arms. I was in utter shock, yet he looked relaxed, amused even. "What the hell are you?" I jumped back, and the fire went out, a smirk rising on his face. "I'm just like you." ***** Kayla Prior has always been a popular girl, and everyone looks up to her. BOOK #4 from TRANSCENDENTAL Series. ***************************************** It wasn't uncommon to meet someone who can see ghosts and interact with them. It was typical to have a family member who once was a wandering soul. It was familiar to find two different people with the same exact name, face, voice, build, and even education and profession, yet are not related by any means. And it was also predictable to spot someone among the crowd that looks exactly like your very dead great-grandparent. That was the world Alana grew up overthinking about and how it used to be different when it used to be normal. If there is a thing called normal. *** Completed Started: 14th Nov, 2022.
