NOT A HERO is told from the perspective of Luke and Alyssa Gilmore. Alyssa is a shape shifter. She's in her freshman year at Westside Prep Magyik Academy and is trying to figure out how things change in her friendships now that she is growing up while working on her Magyik skills and trying to maintain a good grade in her least favorite class, freshman science. Luke is a senior, the quarterback of the football team, student body president, and all around golden boy of the school. He has a lot on his plate especially with keeping an eye on his two sisters. Coriander is just one year Luke's junior and has everyone's eyes on her for her beauty and brains. Luke and Alyssa must learn to adjust when unexpected twists come their way and no super power can help them out of it.
