What if the story of Sleeping Beauty was not the tale of a beautiful girl, cursed by an evil queen, but something different. Brier 'Thorn' Rose was not a girly girl. Living the refuge of the forest since her mother had passed away, Thorn had learned her way around the animals, and traps without any help from a man. Men disgust her, and the thought of a suitor coming her way, sends her running. Thorn finds her was out of the perfect kingdom that most fairytales know, and thrusts herself into a land of witches, and warriors- a land she enjoys. After fighting her way to the top, her father's kingdom looks to crumble what she now considers hers. The girl dons a scarlet cape, and decides there is only one way to end this battle- kill her father.
