After a hectic junior year, 17 year old Hayden McKinley is ready for some r&r throughout the summer with her best friends and boyfriend.

But at the last party before summer, Hayden unexpectedly passes out and wakes up with two small letters tattooed on her shoulder. Unable to answer her own questions, Hayden is forced to join forces with witty and mysterious Luca Day, who seems to know more about the tattoo than anyone else.

As senior year approaches, will Hayden find out the true meaning behind her tattoo or will she be kept in the dark, and possibly in danger?

"I have to talk to you," Luca says, while standing behind me. I jump at the sound of his voice.
"And why should I even listen?" I reply after a minute.
"Because this time I'm not lying."
I turn around to look at him, one eyebrow raised. He sighs.
"Look if you want to know why that's on your arm and what happened last night, then follow me. I'll help you with anything I can, but I don't think you're gonna like it."
