She's on her last year in the system and isn't about do anything that might set her back, but when her current foster family decides that they don't have the space for both her and a new baby, her social worker Marilyn pulls her out and into a new town, with a new family who seems to want nothing more than to give her a second chance and a boy who seems to never do what she expects.
