She didn't enjoy attention very much, but when she ends up catching Ford's (the school bad boy) attention, she doesn't mind it as much. 

Skylar's family is always busy. She has a brother away at college, divorced parents (so she lives with her mom) and her mom is always working. Her mom ends up going on a trip for 4 whole months leaving Sky alone with new neighbors next door. Will she be lonely those 4 months? Will her new neighbors be nice or try to rape her?( the latter is not likely )
Maybe her beloved brother will come home to spend some quality time with his lil' sister.
