Love is a funny thing really. You expect it to be easy. You expect it to be a world of roses and laughs and perfect moments that you find only in movies. You expect him to always say the right thing, and always know exactly how you feel, or exactly how to react to it. You expect him to calm you down when you’re angry or to chase you when you run away. You expect so much that you feel completely defeated when something doesn't exactly match up with all your plans. 17 year old Amber Millington (Angelina Jolie) Knows this from experience. After a messy breakup with an abusive boyfriend, her family decides to pack up and move out of their rather large house in Los Angeles, and move into the small town of Shady Grove, Right outside of Seatte, not known to any map, in hopes they can escape the intimidating Jack Santiago (Channing Tatum). Amber was sure she'd never be able to trust or love another man again, but when Chris Summers (Ashton Irwin) comes along will he change her opinion on love?
