Hello my name is Julia, not that you would know me. You probably know my brother Josh Devine. He doesn't ever mention me or our family because he left. He left on his 18th birthday and never came back. He never called or texted or even made contact with me and my little sister Jenna. After Josh left my parents went crazy. Mom refused to get out of bed and dad turned to drinking. Josh was their only son and the golden child, he was their pride and joy. My mom eventually left she said we were a disappointment and looked took much like Josh. With him gone my dad thought he had nothing. He left every night after dinner and didn't come back till the morning. When dad was drunk he was mean. He started to hit Jenna and I. We made excuses like I waked into a wall or I tripped down the stairs. As the abuse got worse the excuses got harder to make up. It got to the point where my father took us out of school and "homeschooled" us. Lets just say we didn't learn anything. This has been going on for 4 years it started when I was 13 and Jenna was 10. This is our story.
