The Lost One

"Sing to me." He insisted. I lifted my head up to face him.

"What?" I questioned. The heat from the fire burned my face as I say close to it.

"Sing to me. I've heard you sing before, so do it now." He raised his eyebrows, his face was serious.

"No..." I mumbled and turned away from him, picking up my legs and walked away from the log I was sitting in. The warm fire leaves my body and I shiver because the cold comes in. I look over a Cesar, who is resting his elbows on his knees and his chin in his hands.

I sigh. "Why do you want me to sing?"

He removes his chin from his hands and looks at me. "Because you beautiful at singing. I love it. It's 11:00 and I want to hear it."

I look up at the sky, the stars and the moon glistening in the darkness up there.

"What song?" I sigh again.

He smiles. "Any song. I just want to hear your voice!"

I felt pleased by his kind words, and opened my mouth to clear my throat.
