Georgia Fisher, aged 15 lives in Scotland. It is a couple of months after world war two and in her free time, Georgia goes to visit her grandfather who lives at the bottom of the Cairngorm Mountains. What happens when she realises that her tale is too horrible to be true?

This is a short story that I wrote in my English lesson as an assessment. The level I achieved for this was Extending, which is the highest mark on the new marking scheme ( if you live in England and your in Secondary school at the moment, you'll probably be aware of it). Anyway, I wanted to put it up as it's a lot different to the things I usually write. Happy reading!! ♡♡♡

To Be Ugly (Completed - 2013)
Hi I'm Isla the ugly, poor and scarred girl who lives in the woods with her grandmother. Life has never being fair to me and I know it won't be fair to me anytime soon because while I live in a place with people of such great and unscarred beauty, I'm the only anomaly. The only one with the burnt face. And I have accepted it. Now I'm going to high school and things are about to be worse for me because while elementary school students ignore you and your ugliness, high school students taunt you with it. And when the prince of your city shows you mercy, everyone treats you worse than they had before. What happens then when all of a sudden, my life changes for the better and I realize just how empty the lives of the beautiful ones truly is. This book is currently being edited and rewritten.Lengkap
My Teddy
The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. I slowly closed my eyes, leaning into his grasp. He lowered his head and scanned my lips. It looked at though he was asking for permission. Before he could ask I snaked my hand into his hair, pulling him in. Our lips met and I felt his warmth corrode into me. He was pulling my waist closer, and I was pulling his hair. Hello, this story is not good. It was written by a depressed young tween who didn't understand what an abusive relationship is. I'm only keeping it up because it's my only completed book.
